Astrology in Flowers: Leo

Astrology in Flowers: Leo

Happy Birthday season to all my sunny, big-hearted Leo friends out there. You have so much compassion and charisma, and you bring so much loveliness to everyone around you wherever you go. You are driven and generous, hearty and enthusiastic, and your self-assurance brings a sense of ease that inspires others.

Leo is ruled by the sun, which gives Leos (and all of us during Leo season) a lot of powerful energy. Leo is naturally romantic, enthusiastic, and loyal, which brings these qualities into our orbits this season through this dynamic but decisive sign that keeps things both exciting and straightforward at the same time. As a fixed sign, Leo is dependable, self-confident, and sometimes stubborn, reminding us to stand up for ourselves, to keep the commitments we make, and to be flexible enough to stay curious where we hold our convictions.

LEO SEASON TIPS

Because Leo is imbued with confidence and ambition, they can sometimes come across as vain or overbearing, and they can be a bit stubborn and cocky at times, but a well-integrated Leo also knows that owning our sunny and our shadow sides, both, is what brings integration and a power that is grounded in humility and love most of all. Own all of you, and really step into your truth and power with courage and compassion.

Step into something new this season, something that has been calling to you. Bring the warm and reliable energy of the sun to your new endeavor, and remember, you are a being through which energy and consciousness flow. Keep those channels open. Allow yourself to be seen. Allow yourself to be playful. Stay curious, and don’t be afraid to tell others how you feel. They will respect that about you. Call upon humor and self-awareness to guide you in everything during this vibrant season.

In our Tarot of Flowers deck, Leo is associated with the Major Arcana card Fortitude, which is embodied by Echinacea. Here is a snippet from its meaning in the Tarot of Flowers booklet:

“...Echinacea gives you the strength to overcome challenges and to recover from imbalance. The obstacles in your path, which are simply part of life, are both tests and also opportunities. As the symbol of Fortitude, Echinacea encourages you to move through these experiences using compassion and grace to generate deeper trust and confidence within yourself. Moving through is how your character grows…”

Happy Leo season, my sunny friends! Send this along to a Leo you love.
